Cessnock's Koalas - Habitat, Drones, Dogs and Plants
Event description
Cessnock City Council has partnered with the NSW Koala Strategy to conduct a comprehensive study aimed at identifying koala habitat. It will provide the necessary data to properly identify key areas where koalas are located in Cessnock and allow Council to make more informed future decisions regarding land management and conservation practices.
In response to community questions about the Koala Habitat Study and the NSW Koala Strategy, Cessnock City Council is bringing together a panel of experts for a community forum at Mulbring Valley Community Hall. Speakers will include project officers from the NSW Koala Strategy, Cessnock City Council, Port Stephens Koala Hospital, Local Land Services, Landcare, and the Drone and Conservation Dog survey teams.
Light refreshments will be provided on the day.
