Join Our Inspiring Marine Science Workshop Series

Give your daughter the opportunity to build her science skills and explore the fascinating world of whales and dolphins through a unique series of five engaging workshops on Phillip Island.

Designed for secondary school girls with an interest in marine science, this hands-on program explores the cetaceans of Western Port and Bass Strait while introducing participants to real scientific methods used in marine wildlife research.

What to expect

• Hands-on learning

  Each session includes practical, interactive activities that help participants discover more about the whales and dolphins found in our local waters.

• Learn from experts

  Workshops are led by a passionate local cetacean scientist and educator, supported by experienced marine science colleagues who are keen to share their knowledge and mentor the next generation.

• Career insight

  While this program is not a replacement for formal work experience, it offers valuable insight into marine science pathways and the realities of working in wildlife research and conservation.

Program details

The five workshop sessions will be held from 10.00 am to 12.00 pm at the Phillip Island Adult Community and Learning Centre (PICAL).
