On sale until 10am on Tuesday 30 April 2024.  $165 pp + booking fee.

We have listened to your feedback and we are focusing on more time to chat and dance.  We are doing a stand up event rather than a seated 3 course dinner to enable more chat time.  In addition to the finger food there will also be grazing tables to get you through the night, and lots of seating for when your feet get tired from the dance floor!  Having a stand up event also means that we can accommodate everybody who would like to attend.  

What do I get for my money?

Since COVID lockdowns, costs for running events have increased significantly.  We have done our very best to keep the cost low for a fun night at a great venue. Food and beverage alone costs $149 pp.  We will also have a DJ, band, photobooth and there are other additional expenses associated with running the event (such as furniture hire, security and production costs). There will be plenty of food available by having a grazing table.  There will also be 5 x canapés, 2 x handheld items and 1 x savoury bowl.   The beverages include 1 x Sparkling, 2 x White wines, 2 x Red wines, 2 x full strength Beers, 1 x cider and assorted Soft Drinks, OJ.  All wines will be double poured.  There will also be a spirits bar, which can be purchased at bar prices.

We are grateful that the Parents & Friends Committee contribute to the night to assist us with keeping the ticket price as low as we can to cover costs. This event is not a fundraiser and not a profit making event.

Tickets

Tickets are non refundable.  If you can no longer make it, contact Michelle Wall at mrsmwall@gmail.com to onsell your ticket.  If you happen to miss the closing date for the ticket sales, please contact Michelle who will be managing the list if there are tickets that are available.  Please note you will not be allowed to enter on the night if you have not purchased a ticket.

There will be a cloak room available.

Dietaries

For those of you with dietary requirements, please let us know in the booking form so we can make sure you will have plenty to eat.

Is parking available?

There is plenty of parking available in the car park at the front of Carousel, or along Aughtie Drive.  You will need coins, or a credit card to be able to pay for parking.

Seating

Based on the feedback of last year we have included more seating this year.  However, please keep in mind that we can only offer what is available to us by the venue and working within our financial constraints.  Please feel free to wear sneakers to ensure your comfort.

Spirits at Bar Prices

There will be a bar available for you if you wish to purchase spirits.

Do I need to organise a table?

No, this year is a stand up event.  Please purchase tickets early, for planning purposes. 

How will I find people I know?

There will be signage (in the form of balloons) for each year level or “MC” for Malvern Campus.  If you don’t know many people, you may like to hang around near these areas, to meet other parents from the same year level.  Or you might like to use the year level balloons to meet up with friends.  The P&F committee and our volunteer hostesses will be roaming the venue making sure people are meeting.

I don’t know anyone . . . how will I meet people?

We have a buddy system in place.  Indicate on your ticket that you will not know anyone/many people and upon arriving our hostesses will introduce you to other parents of your year level.  There are also pre-event drinks happening so you can meet people before entering the venue together.  More details on this will follow soon.

Are the Dads invited?

We are very inclusive and will welcome any Dad who would like to attend an event with 400+ women.  Typically, there aren’t any Dads who attend, except on the odd occasion.

What should I wear?

Wear something to party in.  Dress up or wear a dress with sneakers so you can dance all night.  The choice is yours.  Let’s have a good time.

Is there an after party?

Yes, there is an after party.  Details will be sent prior to the event.

How do I get home/to the after party?

Organise a taxi/uber for collection at 11.30pm from Carousel, 22 Aughtie Drive, Albert Park.  Destination for the after party will be advised closer to the date.
