ChaCha 5+1

In 2023, a group of experienced old-time jazz

musicians from Thuringia came together

specifically for a trip to Georgia, with the aim of

touring the country together and bringing the

wonderful old-time jazz of New Orleans to life

alongside the hospitable people and delicious wine

ofGeorgia. In addition to the five musicians playing

trumpet, clarinet, trombone, banjo, and tuba, a

pianist has since joined the group, resulting in the

current lineup of ChaCha Five+1. All that’s left to

say is: ‘Ears up and Gaumarios!’

Now the band is heading to Melbourne, Australia,

where, in October 2026 (October 18–18, 2026), they’re looking

forward to another musical adventure, connecting with local

jazz bands, and planning joint concerts.
