Chaat, Chats & Chai
Description
Chaat is street food, which means it was never meant to be eaten politely. We're serving it the way it should be: plates landing in the middle of the table, everyone reaching, nobody standing on ceremony.
A medley of chaat bursting with flavour, travelling across South Asia from the streets of India to the coast of Sri Lanka. Gaya's lip-smacking seeni sambol and pol roti. Chef G's pav bhaji and pani puri, filled to order. Sri Lankan pickles, crisp potato tikki, dark coconut treacle sweets and a carrot halwa trifle to finish. All of it alongside the signature chai you keep asking for.
This one is deliberately informal. Less fine-dining formality, no tasting menu choreography, no seating plan keeping you with the people you arrived with. Just one long communal table, shared plates, sticky fingers and proper conversation. Old friends, and a few you haven't met yet.
Come hungry. Leave with friends.
