Chalkface - Old Gazette Theatre, Dorrigo

Dorrigo Dramatic Club presents Chalkface by Angela Betzien

Step inside the staffroom in this sharp, funny and distinctly Australian comedy-drama. Chalkface follows a group of public school teachers as they juggle demanding students, difficult parents, and the realities of their own lives - all in the short moments between the ringing of the bell.

Full of humour, heart, and recognisable moments, this production shines a light on the chaos and connection found behind the classroom door. Performed by local talent, Chalkface delivers an entertaining and relatable theatre experience for anyone who has ever been to school - whether at the front of the class or sitting in the desks.

Support local community theatre, and join us for an engaging production filled with laughs, lively characters, and a glimpse into the world of teaching.
