Event description

In partnership with Griffith University’s Yunus Centre (Brisbane, Australia) and Wellington City Council, we’re thrilled to be bringing an in-person, introductory workshop on Challenge-Led Innovation to Wellington (and New Zealand) on the 7th of December 2022.

To respond to the ‘grand challenges’ we are facing we need to reframe our thinking. We need to understand the interconnectedness and complexities of the systems we inhabit
and get past singular solutions, like many of the ones we see in action today. What if we could design approaches that help us
organise and respond in ways which no single
entity, sector or stakeholder group can address on their own? Approaches that enable us to foster collective responses and distributed solutions to complex challenges. This is the heart of Challenge-Led Innovation.

In this one-day workshop you'll learn about and explore this approach to systemic innovation with
Dr Ingrid Burkett and Alex Hannant, co-directors
of The Yunus Centre (Griffith University). Alex and Ingrid have been following the emergence of Challenge-Led Innovation around the world to develop insights and guidance on its design and practice.
