Annual Champagne Event; Night Two with Bollinger
Description
City Wine Shop presents: An end-of-year Champagne Celebration
Due to popular demand with night one selling out we are offering a second night to join us for an end-of-year Champagne celebration. We dive into the region’s terroir, grape varieties and winemaking techniques to the icons, myths and marketing that shaped its global fame with a special highlight this year on the renowned wines of Bollinger.
Renowned for its rich, Pinot Noir-forward style and traditional oak-barrel maturation, House Bollinger has crafted uncompromisingly bold, elegant wines in Aÿ since 1829. Guided into legend by the formidable Madame Lily Bollinger, it remains one of Champagne’s few remaining independent, family-owned houses.
We’ll explore the women who reinvented the industry, the Russians who couldn’t get enough of it, and a few of the truths and tall tales behind one of the world’s most famous wines.
The evening will feature six wines from Champagne Bollinger and a mystery seventh wine, all paired with a light menu and guided by our ever knowledgeable (and always entertaining) sommelier, Jay Bessell.
