Chance - Kinetic Collage Workshop

This 2-hour workshop will introduce the idea of chance compositions in collage - layouts that are made by chance. Composition is one of the key ideas in art, and this workshop is a relaxed introduction to this! You will work through a series of prompts that explore how to generate different layouts within the same piece. Each of these pieces will have a moving element, which allows you to explore different possibilities held in the same collage. You will take home a selection of playful, moving collages and a prompts sheet to keep the experiments going. All materials will be provided. 

Olivia Juett is an illustrator and printmaker based in Glasgow. She has been working with collage for many years, and uses it as a base for many of her projects. This is part of a 2-workshop series looking at collage, but they can also be booked as stand-alone workshops.

There will be a maximum of 10 participants. During the workshop, you will participate in group discussions, hands-on making activities, and sharing work you have made. Olivia works to create safe, relaxed workshop spaces and people of all backgrounds, skill levels and experiences are welcome! She wants these workshops to be as financially accessible as possible, so the reduced rate is available for anyone who needs it.
