The Forest and The Ruin - Collage Workshop

This event has passed Get tickets

Event description

This 2-hour workshop will introduce you to the art of collage. Through prompts, you will explore the basic concepts of cutting, sticking, ripping, mixing and composing images. The workshop will look at collage as an act of world-building and imagination, thinking of re-ordering as a way to consider new possibilities. You will take home a selection of playful collage pieces and a prompts sheet to keep the experiments going.

Olivia Juett is an illustrator and printmaker based in Glasgow. She has been working with collage for many years, and uses it as a base for many of her projects. This is part of a 2-workshop series looking at collage, but they can also be booked as stand-alone workshops.

21st April: Chance - Kinetic Collage Workshop: https://events.humanitix.com/c...

There will be a maximum of 10 participants. During the workshop, you will participate in group discussions, hands-on making activities, and sharing work you have made. Olivia works to create safe, relaxed workshop spaces and people of all backgrounds, skill levels and experiences are welcome! She wants these workshops to be as financially accessible as possible, so the reduced rate is available for anyone who needs it.

Accessibility: Please note that the workshop will take place on the 2nd floor, with no lift. Please get in touch beforehand if you have any accessibility requirements, and we will do what we can to accommodate these. For more information see the SaltSpace website: https://www.saltspacecoop.co.u...
