In this 3 hour workshop you will: 
  • Learning Objectives: 

    • Describe the impacts of hormonal changes on mental health & well-being during the adolescent period. 

    • In holistic fashion, identify conventional pharmacotherapeutic and complementary integrative medicine strategies to support mental health & well-being amidst hormonal changes. 

    • Explore the medicinal benefits of botanicals on mental health & well-being 

    • Learn how hormonal changes on mental health can impact the family system and the relationships within

    Agenda:

    • 9 – 9:30am:  Arrive, orient to space, introductions, connect to breath

    • 9:30 – 10:15am:  Laurie Geddes, APRN, CNP Hormonal changes in adolescence, impact on mental health & pharmacotherapeutic options

    • 10:15 – 10:30am: Tea break with Melissa Claar, APRN, CNP introducing botanicals for anxiety, depression & sleep

    • 10:30 – 11am:  Melissa Claar, APRN, CNP presents on holistic strategies to optimize mental health & well-being 

    • 11:am – 12:15pm:  Botanical Medicine making hands-on workshop

*3 hours of Continuing Education approved by the MN Board of Marriage & Family Therapy and MN Board of Behavioral Health & Therapy.*
