Michael Li, Research and Analysis Manager, Climateworks Centre, will present on the importance of better energy-performing homes in the context of accelerated climate action, resilience to extreme weather and uncertainty in future energy costs. he will outline the critical decisions politicians must make in 2022 on the National Construction Code, and set out why Australia can't afford to delay the changes being put on the table.

Michael supports and coordinates research, modelling and analysis capabilities at Climateworks in line with the organisation’s strategic objective of achieving systems-level change. Michael holds Bachelor’s degrees in engineering and science from the University of Melbourne and a Master’s degree in Sustainable Development from the University of Cambridge. In 2014 Michael was recognised by collaborative sustainability community 2degrees as one of the global ‘Top 25 Under 25s’ transforming the world of sustainable business. Michael has previously worked as a sustainability consultant at global integrated services firm AECOM.
