Chansons D’Amour - A night of French jazz love songs at Open Studio in Northcote.A rendez-vous of talented jazz players that will have you feeling la vie en rose, showcasing the incredible Fiona Stewart on vocals.When Fiona was a baby, her mother sang her jazz standards and then life taught her to sing the blues! When she sings, there is a seamless marriage between story and melody. During her 10 years living in France she fell in love with many songs from the Chansons Francaises tradition. A unique and sophisticated voice, she is joined tonight by Adam Rudegeair (piano), Hadyn Murtagh (bass) and Stephen Caruana (drums/percussion). C’est Si Bon! xx
