Chant and Chai with the Chant Cartel

The Chant Cartel presents the return of the iconic Chant and Chai Kirtan night:

Chant and Chai events inspired a deep and nourishing kirtan yoga practice within Melbourne's kirtan community, playing every month, for more than 10 consecutive years, right up until Melbourne's lockdowns.

Launched in 2009, the monthly Chant and Chai Kirtan night was first established at Gertrude Street Studios, Fitzroy. The night would eventually make its way to a larger venue in Richmond, and then find its rhythm at The Learning Centre at Ceres in East Brunswick for 5 years.

Now, after a 3-year hiatus, Chant and Chai will return with its next incarnation at an exciting new location.

You can enjoy Chant and Chai in the heart of East Melbourne at The Living Centre, a beautifully renovated historic church hall, near the Fitzroy Gardens from October 2023.

Doors open 6:30 p.m. Chai and a light meal available for purchase 

Kirtan program 7:30 - 10pm

Please bring a cushion and water to stay hydrated. There will be some chairs and cushions also available for your comfort.

Wheelchair access is from the side entrance of hall.

Tickets $25 + booking fee (when pre-booked) and if not sold out, $30 at the door (kids free)

Transport: Jolimont train station is most conveniently located within a short walk to the venue.

If driving, some parking is available around Fitzroy Gardens and/or nearby streets.

(Please note there is no parking within Trinity Place).
