Character Development Through Costume
Event description
Character Development Through Costume
Join us for a one-day workshop, where you will gain insight into how costume plays an important role in acting and role-play. Activities like Cosplay and LARP provide the opportunity to transform into a character through making the costume, learning how to wear it and becoming your character. Actors do the same thing - wearing a costume helps actors transform into their characters. The focus of this workshop is to strengthen your cosplay performance and/or LARP role-playing skills through understanding the role of costuming and using it to guide your character choices. This process of combining characters with costume and performance will be explored through “through improv, acting exercises, games, character development. and physical exploration
