How do we implement the principles of Boycott, Divestment and Sanctions within our academic institutions in solidarity with Palestine? Despite announcing the failure of its partnership with Israeli weapons manufacturer Elbit Systems of Australia last year, RMIT University maintains connections with some of the largest weapons companies in the world, as well as with prominent BDS targets including Amazon and HP.

As part of the NTEU Palestine Forum series, we will be joined by Nasser Mashni, President of the Australia Palestine Advocacy Network, Nick Riemer, author of 'Boycott Theory and the Struggle for Palestine: Universities, Intellectualism and Liberation' and President of the University of Sydney branch of the National Tertiary Education Union, and Gem Seymour, a representative from RMIT Students for Palestine and the RMIT Gaza Solidarity Encampment, for a facilitated conversation about BDS and military divestment at RMIT.
