Charting presence in the Extended Landscape with John Pratt - Sustainable Art Workshop Series II
Event description
This drawing workshop will explore a range of materials and approaches to mark making as a means to explore not only the surrounding topographical features but also as a way of conveying an expressive presence in the landscape itself.Â
Our response to landscape can be both analytic and emotive; light and contour in particular has that capacity to evoke a reaction and drawing itself can locate and reveal this ‘felt’ response. John will guide you in a series of studies that will extend from the natural features surrounding the Homestead to the terrain stretching to the Eastern Horizon.
Paper and some materials will be provided including ink, charcoal and iron oxide. Participants to bring their own graphite pencils 2B, 4B, 6B and erasers.
Suitable for all levels of experience.
