Event description

Cheeks Out: Ceramic Workshop

It’s time people! Make your very own boob or butt mug at our Cheeks Out Ceramic Workshop. Grab your friends and come spend your Friday night having fun playing with clay and enjoying a drink or two while you're at it, sounds like fun right?

In this workshop, you will learn how to mould clay into unique pieces. We will cover a number of beginner-friendly techniques to get you started on your journey into the wonderful world of hand-built ceramics!

No prior experience needed as our in-house ceramic artist will guide you from start to finish.

What you need to know:

  • Where: The Cab Canvas Studio (2/17 Hulme Court, Myaree)
  • When: Friday the 24th of March, 2023
  • Time: Arrive at 6:15pm for a 6.30pm start

Included in your ticket price is:

  • 2–2.5 hours of clay-making
  • Expert guidance by our ceramic artist
  • All pottery equipment & clay provided
  • Firing & Glazing by our ceramic artist*
  • 1 x beautiful ceramic piece you can brag about!

Important Details:

Your piece will be glazed and fired after the workshop is finished. The cost of this is included in the ticket price.

There is a wait time of 4-6 weeks before you can collect your finished piece. This is the time it takes to dry, glaze and fire your amazing creations.

A huge amount of care is exercised when finishing off your handmade items. Please note that clay is unpredictable and on rare occasions, items break in the kiln. This is all a natural part of the fun of perfecting your craft. Listening and following instructions from our ceramic artist will ensure very minimal risk.

*Please note your pieces will be glazed in classic white.

What to bring:

We recommend wearing clothes you don't mind getting dirty... just in case! But don't worry clay washes right out too!
