Cheese Please! Introduction to Cheese Making Workshop

Learn the basics of cheese making with this demonstration style beginner-friendly workshop with Kym Ormond. Kym will guide you step-by-step through the process of how milk and yoghurt can be turned into delicious cheeses like ricotta, paneer, mozzarella and labneh. This workshop has been adapted so you can easily replicate it at home in your own kitchen. Throughout the workshop there’ll be plenty of time for Q&A so you will leave feeling confident to try cheese making for your next platter.

What you will learn:

• The basics and science behind cheese making

• How to make fresh cheeses like ricotta, paneer, mozzarella and labneh.

• Choosing the right milk and basic cheese making ingredients

• Cheese-making equipment and home kitchen adaptations

• Salting, storing and how to serve your cheeses.

• How to use whey (the bi-product of cheese making)

• Cheese-y Dad jokes!

Extreme and Catastrophic Fire Danger Ratings

When an 'Extreme 75+' or Catastrophic Fire Danger Rating is declared for the Mt Lofty Ranges, the Adelaide Hills Council Community Centre's will be closed, and all classes and programs will be cancelled without notice. Any monies paid will either be reimbursed or the course will be rescheduled for a later date.
