Event description

We are excited to announce the much-anticipated launch of the Slow Food South Australia Chefs Alliance, led by renowned chef Kane Pollard. Join us on 12th November at Fern Avenue Community Garden to mark this momentous occasion. 

The Chefs Alliance unites cooks and chefs from diverse backgrounds with a shared commitment to preserving biodiversity, supporting small-scale producers and educating consumers about fairer and more sustainable food systems. In its early stages here in South Australia, the Alliance will be a tool to assist likeminded chefs to get out of the kitchen and into the world. Connections will be made, helping drive education and awareness of the Slow Food ethos and inspire young chefs to connect with producers and chefs in a new environment.

Following the official launch, guests will have the opportunity to network with fellow chefs and industry members while exploring the gardens and tasting dishes prepared by Slow Food SA committee members and Snail of Approval recipients: Kane Pollard, Nick Tadija, Enrico Sgarbossa, and Rosa Matto. A special dish will also be offered by our Patron, Cheong Liew.  

Drinks will be available to purchase from the Down the Rabbit Hole Wines and Tilbrook Estate.

We welcome interested chefs, cooks and food industry professionals, and we especially encourage students and apprentices to attend, with a $15 discount available.
