An award-winning Chinese pianist, Chenxing Huang has performed as a soloist and chamber musician for audiences across the United States, Europe, and Asia. Highlights of her recent season included solo recitals in central Paris, invited by the President of the Association of Polish Artists & Musicians in France, with proceeds donated to the Ukrainian society; and benefit concerts in support of the Humane Society of Ottawa. Acclaimed for her remarkable intensity of expression, she is a laureate in international competitions including the Concours Ile-de-France, Concours Musical de France, Artist Presentation Society Competition (USA), Paderewski International Competition (USA), Krystian Tkaczewski International Piano Competition (Poland), Bradshaw & Buono International Competition, and New York Piano Festival & Competition. In addition, she was awarded the “Chopin Performance Prize” by the President of the Association of Polish Artists & Musicians in France, and the “Debussy Special Prize” from both the IBLA Foundation and the Metropolitan International Piano Competition. In 2011, she received a generous sponsor from the Edifier Musician Foundation (Beijing).

These honors have brought her to perform at distinguished venues, including the Carnegie Hall, Steinway Hall (NYC), Viennese Hall (Salzburg), Bibliotheque Polonaise de Paris, Vouleftikon – First Parliament of Greece, National Centre for the Performing Arts (Beijing), Beijing Concert Hall, and Shanghai Oriental Arts Center. As the featured pianist, she toured Taiwan in the Xiamen-Taiwan Musical Exchange with Xiamen School of Music Philharmonic. A passionate chamber musician, her duet and trio groups have made appearances in Pablo Casals Chamber Music Festival, Musical Odyssey, and Shanghai Chamber Music Festival.

Chenxing holds an Artist Diploma and a Master of Music degree from Yale University, and she is completing a Doctor of Musical Arts degree at Northwestern University on a full scholarship. She has worked with world-renowned artists including Chen Jiang, Fou Ts’ong, Hung-Kuan Chen, Peter Frankl, Alan Chow, Boris Slutsky, and Eduardus Halim.

Chenxing spent her formative years on the beautiful South Chinese island of “Gulangyu,” known as a “music island.” It was where she discovered her passion for classical music. She is the founder of an international fundraising endeavor that raises funds and awareness for homeless animals through performing benefit recitals. She considers this effort as an opportunity to combine two of her greatest loves: music and animals. Her upcoming season will bring her to the prestigious Dame Myra Hess Memorial Concerts in Chicago, in addition to her solo recitals in Santa Fe, Los Alamos, New York, Paris, Portugal, and China.
