Come visit Breadtree's oldest orchard in bloom right on the heels of the summer solstice

If you've ever wanted to see what a working chestnut orchard looks like, come on out! Our trees are coming into their 6th leaf this year, and we're expecting our first significant crop in the fall. The field the trees were planted in was corn just 6 years ago, and the transformation is pretty amazing.

We'll start with a tour of the orchard and answer all your questions about chestnuts and silvopasture (grazing in orchards), then head down the hill for lunch and conversation. All ages welcome! We will have a couple different transportation options for folks with limited mobility.

We'll be serving burgers from the cows that grazed beside our trees and nourished them & the soil. There will also be a vegetarian option available. There are lunch tickets and no-cost tickets for anyone who wants to bring their own lunch. Kids under 5 eat free! BYOB for those so inclined.

We will send out an email with more details and parking instructions to registered attendees closer to the date. Contact bug@breadtreefarms.com if you have any questions.

This event is made possible with support by the Agricultural Stewardship Association and the Robert H. Wentworth Foundation.
