Child safeguarding in sport workshops


There are three workshops available to attend on different aspects of Child Safeguarding in Sport. 

You are welcome to attend either one, two or three of the workshops below.


Implementing a safeguarding risk management plan

Date: Tuesday 10 September 2024

Time: 9.00 am - 11.00 am

Location: DLGSC Leederville, 246 Vincent Street

Audience: State sporting associations, state active recreation organisations, peak bodies, CEO's and Board Members, and people with responsibility for managing safeguarding in sport.

This is a practical workshop that will enable you to identify, assess and control risk to children and young people. You will be given access to Sport Integrity Australia templates and resources to develop a safeguarding risk management plan. 

Child safe recruitment

Date: Tuesday 10 September 2024

Time: 11.30 am - 12.30 pm

Location: DLGSC Leederville, 246 Vincent Street

Audience: State sporting associations, state active recreation organisations, peak bodies and people responsible for recruitment.

This is a practical workshop that will explain how to safely recruit people working with children and young people

Creating a culture of reporting and steps to WA safeguarding reporting

Date: Tuesday 10 September 2024

Time: 1.00 pm - 2.30 pm

Location: DLGSC Leederville, 246 Vincent Street

Audience:

State sporting associations, state active recreation organisations, peak bodies , CEO's and Board Members, and people with responsibility for managing safeguarding in sport.

In this workshop you will develop an understanding of the importance of creating a culture of reporting to keep children and young people safe.
