#ChildBoss premiere
Event description
You're are invited to the premiere of #Childboss an inclusively made short film, shot exclusively on an iPhone.
#Childboss was made by a group of amazing young people who attended our Inclusive Smartphone Filmmaking Program.
Come along to the outdoor screening event and get the chance to see an awesome documentary, that explores three dynamic stories of young people living in the Northern Rivers of NSW, who have started side hustles or unique entrepreneurial endeavors with great success.
- Ollie’s Hens - a local egg farmer who started his egg service in high school and now services many local markets and cafes.
- TALLN Bakehouse - 3 siblings who started a sourdough business during lockdown and now are making dough selling their loaves.
- Band Called Stereo - A band comprising 4 Byron Bay High School students now making waves in the music industry.
The project is a partnership of Bus Stop Films, together with SF3 SmartFone Flick Fest; Screenworks and SAE Byron Bay and was part of the Holiday Break program supported by the Office for Regional Youth in partnership with Create NSW.
About the event
- Venue : Byron Youth Service - Youth Activity Centre (YAC)

- Time : 4.30pm - 7.00pm
- The event will be a fun and relaxed evening, so bring a cushion or low chair to sit on.
- Music will be provided by stars of #ChildBoss "Band Called Stereo".
- Light refreshments will be provided.
- All films will be captioned.
- The event will be Auslan Interpreted.
Raising funds for another exceptional young person from the Northern Rivers
The screening event will raise funds for Floyd Morley - a local Northern Rivers boy who lives with a form of dwarfism called achondroplasia. Floyd is raising funds with team mates to attend the World Dwarf Games in Germany, where he will represent Australia in basketball.
Covid19 Safety -- As a service that supports a number of vulnerable people within our programs and community, we encourage all attendees to be fully vaccinated against Covid19.
