Childhood Dementia Information Session

Childhood dementia affects 1 in 2800 babies born in Australia – more than better known conditions like cystic fibrosis. Sadly, around 75% have a life expectancy of under 18. They and their families face unique and complex challenges.

Childhood Dementia Initiative invites you to join this two hour introductory session on childhood dementia. You’ll be equipped with key statistics and a broad understanding of the causes, symptoms and impacts of childhood dementia. You will also hear from Tony Cook, Associate Professor, Wicking Dementia Research & Education Centre who will share insights into childhood dementia research.

This free session is ideal for health professionals and social care workers, researchers, parents and policy makers who would like to gain a better understanding of this condition.
