Have you ever found yourself talking in circles about an early traumatic event, without much relief or healing?

That's because trauma healing doesn’t always happen in talk therapy.

Why?

Because it is our body, our subconscious and primitive parts of the brain that experience and hold the scariest parts of our journey.

These parts are not always easily accessible when we only talk, but with certain trauma-treatment methods we can access unresolved pains gently and compassionately.

In this 2-hour intensive healing workshop, you will be guided through a process of exercises that use proven trauma-treatment methods to connect to your earlier challenges.

We will be creatively accessing our inner child or teen, where we show you how to process trauma using dynamic embodied creative therapy practices.

We will use multiple practices from Somatic Therapy, Art Psychotherapy, Trauma-informed Mindfulness & meditation and Internal Family Systems (IFS) Parts Work to navigate through any inner baggage and access a deeper connection with ourselves.

A part of our inner child was often neglected in our unresolved trauma experiences - don’t continue to neglect them in our adult life too.

Make space for them, with compassion, patience and curiosity.

For this workshop, you will need:

Paper or card of your choosing
Pencils and/or pens of your choosing
Watercolours or acrylic paints (optional)
Crayons, markers or pastels (optional)
Collage materials (optional)
A journal (optional)

You will not be required to share any reflections or work made if you would prefer not to.

This workshop is organised and facilitated by Trauma expert, licenced Art Therapy and Mental Health Counsellor, Tanisha Rose Ripp (MA HCPC AThR), who has many years working with complex trauma, mental health diagnoses and diverse communities from all over the world. Tanisha prides herself on creating accessible healing services and prioritising inclusivity for marginalized experiences.
