Join us for a joyful afternoon of creativity as we prepare for our upcoming Lá Bealtaine Festival! This free arts and crafts workshop is open to children of all ages and will be a chance to make colourful decorations and costumes to wear and share at our celebration (another event you should come to on the 3rd May - https://events.humanitix.com/l...).
Together we’ll make floral garlands and other decorations to make The Gaelic Club beautiful. We'll also make flower crowns or hats and badges for you to wear at the festival.
Drawing on the ancient Irish spirit of Bealtaine, the festival of fire, flowers, and new beginnings, what better than to have our decorations made by young people?
Children will also get the chance to learn some simple Irish words along the way, and write their names in Irish script, in a fun and relaxed setting.
Run by the Irish Language School Sydney and held at The Gaelic Club in Surry Hills, this workshop is a beautiful way to welcome the season of growth, light, and creativity.
We’ll have free snacks and refreshments available, and all the craft supplies - just bring your imagination!
