Children's Discovery Day

It's been proven that children who grow up spending time connecting with nature become more responsible, inclusive and motivated adults, so join us for a full day of family fun that is focused on learning about nature through activities and play. 

Some of our activities include: interactive environmental stalls and displays, lawn games, music & entertainment, face painting, jumping castle, nature craft, treasure trove trail, market stalls, guided nature tours, Kookaburra Cafe & Gift Shop, fire brigade exhibit, Koala Hospital, Hunter Bird Observers - make a nest box, Hunter Wetlands, Plant Science, Hunter Water, National Parks & Wildlife, Hunter School of Performing Arts Band, food van, sausage sizzle.

** The Hunter Region Botanic Gardens receives no annual funding from Councils or NSW government. We rely on entry fees and events to support our important conservation and environmental work. We really appreciate your support - thank you!
