About the Event

Children by Choice invites you to join us for the Reproductive Rights and Abortion Conference 2026, Australia’s only event dedicated solely to reproductive rights, abortion, and bodily autonomy.

Held from 3–5 September 2026 in Brisbane (Meanjin), this three-day conference brings together healthcare professionals, researchers, advocates, and community organisations working across abortion and reproductive healthcare.

In 2026, the conference will expand to three days for the first time, featuring:

Two days dedicated to research, community health initiatives, and advocacy
A new Clinical Education Day designed for AHPRA-registered practitioners to build practical skills in abortion care and contraception*
Networking evening included in all registration tickets

Across the three days, delegates will engage in plenary sessions, panels, and interactive breakout discussions addressing the most pressing issues in abortion and reproductive health. We anticipate over 300 delegates, including:

Doctors and health practitioners from public and private sectors
Allied health professionals
Leaders from NGOs and community organisations
Academics, researchers, and students

Our 2026 keynote speakers - Carly Findlay and Yumi Stynes - will each bring unique perspectives on inclusion, culture, and reproductive justice. Their insights will spark ideas, challenge assumptions, and inspire action.

About Children by Choice

Children by Choice is an independent, non-profit organisation that has provided unbiased information and support for more than 53 years on all pregnancy options, including abortion, adoption, kinship care, and parenting.

Our mission is to ensure that women and pregnant people experiencing hardship or distress have access to high-quality decision-making counselling, evidence-based information, material aid, and referral. We also work to empower individuals and communities to exercise reproductive health choices and to dismantle the social, legal, clinical, and policy barriers that prevent equitable access to care.

Children by Choice is recognised globally as a leading advocate for reproductive rights and bodily autonomy and remains the only pro-choice pregnancy options organisation in Queensland.

Donate to Children by Choice's Scholarship Fund during checkout to help someone who might not otherwise be able to attend or participate in this important event.
