Kids Woodworking Workshops with Greg Miller from Joy of Wood.

1. Introduction to Whittling Skills (8–14 years) Sat 11th & Sun 12th Nov / 8am -10.30am / 2.5 hours—$80 / Learn to use a whittling knife to safely shape & carve wood. Each student will carve a snake, all timber & tools supplied.
2. Carve a Comfort Bird (8–14 years)Sat 11th & Sun 12th / 11.30am—1.30pm / 2.5 hours—$80 / The Comfort Bird is a beautiful smooth bird-shaped piece of polished wood which feels delicious in the hand. Great to hold when you feel anxious. Keep it in your pocket for when you need to feel comfort from it! Starting from a blank, you will be guided through the process of whittling the bird from a blank. A heap of fun creating your bird!. All tools and wood supplied.
3. Carve Birds and Animals (8–14 years)Sat 11th & Sun 12th Nov / 1.30pm–5pm / 3 hours—$120 / Learn how to carve 3D birds or animals. Select one of the blanks, from our selection, and be guided how to create your critter from a blank. This type of carving is heaps of fun. All tools and wood supplied.
