📍 Location: Bucasia Beach -35 Bucasia Esplanade - right across from the cafe is an entrance way to the beach. I will be on your left with my bowls

• If you're late, please do not talk - set yourself up quietly

• No drugs or alcohol prior/during the session (recommend abstaining for 1-2 days prior/post if able to - but if you haven't that's ok you can still attend)

What is Sound Healing?

In a nutshell: Sound Healing, or Sound Baths is when certain instruments, including the voice are used to create a calm, relaxing and ambient sound environment, that supports your mind, body and soul to deeply relax. Instruments usually used are crystal bowls, medicine drums, rattles, gongs and sometimes electronic ambient sounds - think waterfalls or soft bird songs...Oooooh....

It sounds really 'woo', not sure it will be my cup of tea or if I will 'fit in'...

Amazing darling, cause you were born to stand out! 😉 But on a serious note - Sound and healing is for EVERYBODY - so you will definitely fit in. There is no category for healing and enjoying sound. We are all very similar, we all get stressed, face challenges, feel insecure at times: I aim to create a space where everyone feels welcome, no matter if you're new to this or not -and you don't need to be 'woo' to enjoy beautiful music! And the whole 'healing thing...ok let me explain in the next question...

How does Sound Healing work?

You've heard of the nervous system right? Heard of the whole fight, flight thing? OK. So our nervous systems has the capacity to go from these two states: fight, flight, freeze, fawn (our sympathetic nervous system state) to rest and digest (our parasympathetic NS state).

Often cause of a very stressful life (aka modern life) or trauma or nervous system gets STUCK in the fight/flight state - which means our bodies are constantly stressed out, which means more cortisol, which means more inflammation which can = bad sleep, fatigue, anxiety, depression, tired but wired state etc - just not fun stuff.

Sound Healing helps your body to return to the parasympathetic state - the one where you feel relaxed and at ease. In this state your body is able to easily digest food and turns on it's own healing capacity (like when you sleep).

That's why sometimes people fall asleep in sound healing sessions! (don't fear that - it's a compliment)Your brain can also shift gears, going into a delta brainwave state - which is our slowest brain wave states - associated with deep sleep, healing and restoration.

That's why people often feel cleared and renewed after a session - you're giving your mind and body a much needed break!

Will this work for me?

Everyone's journeys are different, you have to try to find out what works for you. You may be really relaxed or not - sometimes energy can shift and things are brought to the surface that needs looking at - this is normal and an invitation to step into more healing.
