Reframing the classic "six degrees of separation" idea, disability-led company Chimera Arts, highlights the tangible and often insurmountable barriers that prevent people living with disabilities from connecting and building social networks.
Through a unique blend of circus, aerial performance, and tactile props - 6 Degrees explores the ways in which society can create distance and disconnection.
This show will be Auslan interpreted and includes a QnA session with ther performers after the show.
Chimera Contemporary Arts is a new disability lead arts company working in Yugambeh and Meanjin. Chimera Arts celebrates the resilience of professional movement artists, who identify as d/Deaf and/or Disabled, and supports emerging artists into the next stage of their career.
