    See some of Australia's best comedians at the Chinatown Comedy Club, the first comedy club ever to be located in Sydney's Chinatown. Presented by Soul of Chinatown, the CCC is located right in the heart of Chinatown at the historic Covent Garden Hotel, and the awesome line-up of comedians include:

    Suren Jayemanne is a stand up comedian, writer and actor. He was selected for the prestigious Moosehead Award in 2023 for his show The Bag of Vegeta which wowed critics and audiences alike at the Melbourne International Comedy Festival. Suren is the creator and host of SBS Food's Good Tucker and his stand up special featured on ABC's Comedy Next Gen (2018) and he has appeared on Comedy Up Late (ABC), Australia Talks (ABC), Compass (ABC), The Cook Up (SBS) and Celebrity Letters & Numbers (SBS). He is also a writer for Wil Anderson's Question Everything (ABC).


    AJ Lamarque 
    hosted Comedy Zone at the 2023 Melbourne International Comedy Festival and was the the Official Ambassador for the Sydney Fringe Festival in 2022. You may have seen AJ on at Brisbane’s MELT Festival, Adelaide’s OzAsia Festival, Chatswood’s Lunar New Year Festival, Sydney and Melbourne Fringe, The Comedy Store, Comedy Republic, The STEAM room with Dr Karl or heard him on numerous podcasts such as The Gargle with Alice Fraser, A Rational Fear with Dan Ilic, Kyran Wheatley‘s Wax Quizzical, Acquisitions Incorporated, Justin Hamilton‘s Big Squid, Maeve Marsden‘s Queerstories.


    Christina Zheng is like petrol station coffee, an unfiltered hot mess. She is also excelling at failing adulthood. Christina has performed at the Sydney Fringe Festival, Sydney Comedy Festival (supporting Jenny Tian and Pat Golamco). She is also a RAW Comedy NSW State Finalist.

    Esky Escandor has been seen on Channel 10’s The Project, Netflix and the local Mt Druitt newspaper. None of these has nothing to do with his comedy but he does talk about it. Comedy related, Esky has performed all over Sydney and just come back from a his open mic run at the 2023 Edinburgh Fringe Festival. Recently knighted as the 2023 Raw Comedy NSW State Finalist Special Mention, Esky is sure to make you laugh, giggle, and fart … from laughter. 

    Harry Jun is a Sydney based comedian, host and cartoonist. He is the host of ABC Gamer's The Loot Drop, a weekly gaming news show with hot takes, sketches and silly jokes. He has performed across Australia including The Comedy Store Sydney, The Enmore Comedy Club and Comedy Republic, Melbourne. Harry sold out the Sydney Comedy Festival 2022 at The Enmore (Little Room). In 2023, he was asked to perform for Melbourne International Comedy Festival’s Comedy Up Late and the Melbourne International Comedy Festival Roadshow. Harry is the recipient of the 2024 Moosehead Award Grant.


      Jenny Tian
      has performed to sold-out crowds across Australia and opened for Ronny Chieng at the Aware Super Theatre in 2023. You may have heard/seen her on Celebrity Letters and Numberstriple j, or her TikTok series Coach Dayum! Jenny also co-hosts The Parasocial Social Club podcast with fellow comedian Kevin Jin.


      Wandi Cao
       started to do stand-up comedy in Mandarin Chinese in early 2020, and in English since May 2021. 
She was the NSW Finalist of RAW Comedy 2022 and Champion of JOKE OFF Comedy Competition 2022. Wandi’s debut solo show, Rebellious Chinese Daughter, comes to the Sydney Comedy Festival in May 2023 after a successful run in Adelaide Fringe Festival, the Melbourne International Comedy Festival, and Sydney Comedy Festival.

      Soul of Chinatown is a community group that preserves the culture, history and tradition of Sydney’s Chinatown and its community, but also looks to the future. Founded by Hayden Wong, Kevin Cheng and Peter Wong in 2021, Soul of Chinatown aims to inspire and foster positive change in Chinatown through advocacy, community, events and storytelling.
