Chinese Film Week

In the heart of a warm and culturally rich winter, the 2025 Chinese Film Week will take place from June 28 to July 4. The festival will span both Ballarat and Melbourne, offering audiences a touching cultural experience that transcends time and space.

Hosted by the Chinese Consulate-General in Melbourne, this year’s event will feature screenings at Palace Regent Cinemas in Ballarat and Cinema Nova in Melbourne. Each evening from 6:30 PM to 9:00 PM, six exceptional Chinese-language films—diverse in style and rich in meaning—will be showcased, highlighting the artistic depth and cultural warmth of contemporary Chinese cinema.

Audiences will not only experience the artistic vitality and creative force of Chinese films, but also witness the deep cultural exchange and growing connection between China and Australia.
