Introduction to Chinese Painting

Join our Artist-in-Residence, Isabella Wang, in these free workshops to learn simple Chinese Painting techniques!
Isabella is an experienced artist and teacher.
Workshops are free, and offered for Adults and Children.
All welcome, no experience required, materials provided.
Please only book for ONE session, as they are repeated.
Children’s Class: (under 16)
(please note that children under 12 must be accompanied by an adult, the adult cannot participate)

Children will learn how to draw ducks. Learning how to use the paint to create gradient of different shades of black to grey. Guiding them to observe shapes, colors, and movement while expressing their creativity freely.
Adult Class: (16+) Painting Peonies
Tuesday 17 February 6:30-7:30pm
Tuesday 24 February, 6:30-7:30pm
Participants learn step by step how to paint a black peony. How to control ink on Xuan paper, study the shapes and structure of black peonies, and explore different shades to capture their depth and beauty.
