The Treasure of Captain Deadbeard: Genesys One-Shot

Off the coast of Terrinoth, the islands of the Torue Albes jut from the sea. Home to pirates, outcasts, wanderers, and worse, they hold danger, treasure, and secrets among their coves and cliffsides. One of many legends tells of the ancient treasure of the pirate necromancer, Captain Barlow Targham, better known in the isles as Captain Deadbeard. It is hidden on a nameless island shrouded in mist, rumored to be guarded by the spirits of doomed pirates, its location unknown… until you discovered an old, skull-marked map deep in a sealed tomb. You've hired a vessel and made your way to this hidden cove, and now you must brave the dangers protecting the treasure of Captain Deadbeard. Find it, and you'll be set for life, legends of the Torue Albes. Fail, and you'll join the ranks of the crew of unquiet dead.

Genesys is an RPG system driven by the unique Narrative Dice, which can add new opportunities and complications to the story with every roll. Face danger, drama, and adventure with your character's skills, and shape the story with your own creative flair.

The setting of Terrinoth is high fantasy, similar to what most RPG players may be familiar with. Magic, monsters, and medieval technology are the order of the day.
