    Event description

Chisholm St is a live performance space on Wadawurrung country, Ballarat. We acknowledge the traditional owners of the land and recognise that their sovereignty was never ceded.

Hosted by Bronwyn Blaiklock, Chisholm St is an intimate foray into fascinating corners of classical music. Launched in March 2021, this diverse series of concerts by regional musicians and spoken word performers gives you a rare glimpse into creative music-making, up close and personal.

    Chisholm St: September 30

There aren't many venues that give you this kind of insight into the craft of musical performance, up close and personal. Stay for refreshments afterwards, meet the performers - it's included in the ticket - and enjoy the community at Chisholm St.

    The Well Strung Trio

Chisholm St is thrilled to introduce The Well Strung Trio, live for one night only. Showcasing a blend of Gypsy Jazz , Latin and yes even some classical music, The Well Strung Trio comprises virtuoso guitarists, Lyndon Kriss and Adam Seery, with double bass player extraordinaire, Andrew Vincent.

This trio has enchanted audiences far and wide with their exciting interpretations of instrumental music from a bygone era. Intricate guitar work, characterised by lightning-fast arpeggios and scintillating bass solos, will transport listeners to the vibrant streets of Paris in the 1930s… and then a short musical walk to a New Orleans Jazz bar in the 1950s.

Over the years, The Trio have performed extensively - from concert halls and cafes, tents, gardens and pergolas, to festival stages. Their music is a celebration of the freedom, joy, and timeless spirit of Gypsy and Latin Jazz.

Swing is back and The Well Strung Trio are here to prove it through their harmonious blend of styles and captivating artistry.
