Chris Berry's Bana Kuma Community Prayer-formance
Event description
This special prayer-formance will be the culmination of a two-day study immersion members of our community are undertaking with Grammy-award winning musician, composer and choreographer Chris Berry. Over two days during this immersion, Victorians will be undergoing intensive study of music inspired by the African diaspora under the tutelage of Hawaii-based Chris Berry. He will be joined by Australian teaching artists Elliott Orr, Djulz Chambers and Cameron Norton. Together we will be preparing an elemental journey in music, dance and storytelling for the enjoyment of our local community in the final Sunday night event. For more information and to get involved in the two-day immersion, find more information here.
