Craig Byers, Associate Director, Savills
With 20+ years experience in the Project Management of Commercial and Infrastructure projects, Craig particularly enjoys working on large multi-disciplinary projects where he can add value from project inception and business case development, right through to project delivery and handover.
Criag’s particular interests lie in contract preparation and risk allocation, the alignment of scope versus budget, and the establishment of successful project governance structures.
His specialties include Client Representation, Project Governance Structures, Contract Law and Contract Administration, Procurement Strategy, Financial Management, Design Management, Risk Management and the development of successful Project Delivery teams.
Craig is a member of the Society of Construction Law New Zealand, and a foundation member of the Engineering New Zealand Engineer to Contract (EtC) Pilot Panel, and Society of Construction Contract Practitioners (SCCP).
Steve O’Dea, Special Counsel, Anderson Lloyd
Steve is a specialist in infrastructure and construction transactions and project delivery/troubleshooting. For over a decade he has advised on transactions, issues, and disputes in a range of commercial sectors in multiple jurisdictions, including: major energy and infrastructure projects; public private partnerships; a wide range of general construction projects; corporate and commercial matters; and intellectual property and technology matters.
Before moving to New Zealand, Steve worked for national and international law firms in both Singapore and London. He relocated from London in 2017 to join Anderson Lloyd’s commercial team.
Steve is a qualified solicitor of the Supreme Court of England and Wales (although no longer practising in the UK) and a practising barrister and solicitor of the High Court of New Zealand. He is also a member of the Society of Construction Law New Zealand and The Infrastructure Collective.
