You are invited to join us for our next Christian Business Network meeting at Queensland Parliament on Friday 1 December 2023.
This is an opportunity for those in Business, Government, Education & the Church to gather together, network, to be equipped to serve God in their particular area.
Our Guest speaker is Karl Morris.
Karl Morris is the Chief Executive and Managing Director of Ord Minnett Ltd, with a career spanning over 36 years
in financial services and wealth management. He is a Commerce graduate of Griffith University and holds
diplomas from the Stockbrokers and Financial Advisers Association of Australia, FINSIA and the Australian
Institute of Company Directors.
Karl was awarded an Officer of the Order of Australia (AO) on Australia Day 2019, for distinguished service to
the financial and stockbroking sectors, and to the community through a range of organisations. In 2022, he
was awarded an honorary Doctorate of the Griffith University for his distinguished service to the financial
industry, and for service to the wider community through a range of organisations, including leadership and
support of Griffith University.
Karl is Chairman of the Brisbane Broncos Ltd, Chair of Bravehearts Foundation Fund, Patron of the Mary MacKillop
Fund, Chair of the American Chamber of Commerce in Australia (AmCham) Council of Governors in Queensland and
National Vice Patron of Bravehearts. He is a Master Member (and former Chair 2012-2018) of the Stockbrokers
and Financial Advisers Association of Australia, former Chairman of QSuper (2013-2019) and was also
a Board Member of the Australian Catholic University. He also sits on the Investment Committees of the
Catholic Archdioceses of Brisbane and Sydney.

Time: 6:45 am for a 7 am start. Finish promptly at 8:30 am.
Your Investment: Early Bird $60 per head by Friday, 17 November 2023. After then, $65 per head. Students are encouraged to come for $50 each.

A note about getting car parking and other options to access Queensland Parliament:
Queensland Parliament has no public parking facilities.
It is located at the corner of George and Alice Streets in the City and is within easy walking distance of the Brisbane CBD.
Public transport options include:
1. Busses - the free 'City Loop' council bus service which circles the CBD has a stop on George Street, near the intersection with Alice Street, that is across the road from Parliament House.
2. City Cat Ferry Terminal (the QUT Gardens Point Terminal) is located at the rear of Parliamet House.
Ride Share - ask to be dropped at the Parliamentry Annex in Alice St, Brisbane.
Parking - go to www.secureparking.com.au and look at car parks that are closest to Queensland Parliament. Prebooking generally saves time and money.
QUT Gardens Point has parking available on a "pay on exit" basis under the freeway.
