Christmas Bird Count and Crafting for Kids in High Park
Description
Join us in High Park for this family- and children-friendly Christmas Bird Count, the longest-running Community Science project in North America. This popular winter holiday event offers little birders and their caregivers an easy and fun opportunity to contribute to stewardship by documenting winter bird populations in High Park!
We’ll start the afternoon with a storytime then head out on the trails on a 45-minute walk to spot as many birds as possible! After the walk, we’ll return to the Nature Centre for a light snack, compile our bird counts, and make bird-themed hanging ornaments or fridge magnets.
