Season’s Cheer at the Museum – A Family Experience Like Never Before!
Experience the joy of Season’s Cheer at the Museum — a heartwarming community celebration where music, laughter, and festive magic fill every corner of the Redlands Coast Museum.
This family-friendly evening brings together the nostalgic charm of the Museum with the wonder of the holidays. Enjoy joyful carols, captivating storytelling, hands-on crafts, and meet Santa and Mrs Claus in their Christmas grotto — creating memories the whole family will treasure.
As part of Redland City Council’s AR Santa Trail, the Museum is proud to be one of only five locations featuring an interactive Augmented Reality (AR) Santa Experience, encouraging families to explore, play, and connect through this unique festive activation.
The Museum will be transformed into a wonderland of christmas decorations, laughter, and local spirit
Event Highlights
Families can wander through the Museum, discovering a series of themed spaces filled with music, storytelling, creativity, and festive charm. Each zone offers something new to experience — from hands-on craft activities to photo opportunities with Santa himself.
Roaming Carollers: Fill the galleries with joyful tunes and join Santa at the Pianola for sing-alongs.
Santa’s Grotto – Toy Hall of Fame: Step into a magical space with Santa’s big red chair, cosy fireplace, and the Surfing Santa AR experience.
Christmas Storytime: Gather for a special reading of “Mundy the Gnome’s Christmas Adventure”, an original Museum story written by Helen Walker and narrated by Jeff Zayer, the Christmas Elf.
Santa’s Post Office: Write and post letters to Santa with help from the friendly Postmaster.
Festive Craft Kits: Pick up Gingerbread Decorating and Reindeer Food Packs to make up at the Museum's crafting station or take home.
Elf on the Shelf Hunt: Search for six mischievous elves hiding throughout the Museum for a playful, interactive adventure.
