Christmas Clay with Della Cameron

In this fun and festive workshop create your own unique clay Christmas decorations with Della from MUDLARKS. You will make something special as a keepsake for yourself or as gifts for your family and friends.

Della will teach you the clay techniques of pinch pot, slab making, hand sculpting/moulding and bead making.

There will be many ways to add patterns and texture to your clay pieces using the following: hand carved wooden stamps from India -Dellas own collection, shaped steel cutters, natural seeds, gum nuts, and foliage which can be pressed and rolled onto your slab, old lace and doilies, large and small alphabet stamps, and clay carving tools.

This workshop is a lot of fun and suits beginners as well as those familiar with clay.

Included:
All stoneware clay and tools as mentioned above.
White satin glaze and clear glaze.
2 x kiln firing of your pieces
*Some underglaze colours
Afternoon tea, French pressed coffee and homemade gluten free sweet treats to keep you going.

Short nails preferred
Wear comfortable clothing.

Please bring:( optional)
Your own shapes,  stamps , templates,  and lace/fabric to add that special touch to your work.

*   Della will carefully transport and load your pieces into her kiln. On rare occasions items break or crack in the kiln, this is part of the unpredictable nature of clay work.
