What would Christmas look like if your needs were part of the plan from the beginning?

Christmas often comes with a long list of unwritten rules: be sociable, be grateful, be joyful, be flexible, be there. Many autistic people find the season exhausting because those rules were never designed with us in mind. That isn't a personal failing. It's a mismatch between the environment and our neurology.

This webinar offers a different starting point. You won't be asked how to cope with someone else's version of Christmas. Instead, you'll build your own, with your sensory, social and emotional needs treated as part of the design rather than an inconvenience to be managed.

What we'll explore together

Noticing the "shoulds": where Christmas expectations come from, whose voice they really are, and which ones you're ready to put down.
Understanding your needs: your sensory triggers and comforts, your social battery, the routines that keep you steady, and a simple energy budget for the season.
Boundaries without over-explaining: ready-to-use scripts for declining, leaving early or asking for a quiet room, plus a template for requesting adjustments in advance.
Autistic joy, rest and traditions: making room for what lights you up, and keeping, changing, letting go of or creating traditions that suit you.
Designing your Christmas: a flexible, needs-first plan, a regulation kit, and a one-page "my needs at a glance" summary you can share with the people you'll be spending time with.
Afterwards: planning for recovery, and reflecting on what worked so next year is easier.

Who it's for

Autistic adults, whether formally identified or self-identified, who want to approach Christmas with less dread and more choice. It's also valuable for neurodivergent people more broadly, and for partners, family members and professionals who want to understand how to make the season more inclusive.

A session designed for you

Cameras and microphones are optional. You can stim, move, step away and come back whenever you need to. You never have to share anything personal, and nothing in the workbook is homework.

A Christmas that fits you isn't a lesser Christmas. Choosing what works for your mind and body is an act of care, for yourself and for the people who want to spend time with the real you.
