Christmas in July Extravaganza

Ever dreamed of a white Christmas? Join us on 6 July as Christmas comes to Ben Lomond! 

Ben Lomond Base, at the foot of the mountain, will transform into a winter wonderland as we celebrate the season with our first Christmas in July Extravaganza. Get ready to eat, drink and be merry like never before!

Only 30 minutes from Launceston, The Base will host a spectacular winter celebration complete with live music, an artisanal market, festive workshops, Christmas Carols, and a feast cooked over flames. 

We’ll be bringing together some of Tasmania’s best artists, artisans and producers in a celebration of Tasmanian winter.

Start the day with a trip to the snow at the top of the mountain where you can toboggan, snowball fight or ski the day away.

Once Jack Frost starts nipping at your toes, return to The Base for live Christmas Carols and buy a mulled wine from Bundalerra Vineyard to warm you up around our firepits. 

Purchase a feast of festive treats cooked over flames by Mount Gnomon Farm.

Browse artisanal crafts made by local producers in the Christmas market, or buy a drink or two from The Albert Brewery, Spreyton Cider and Adam's Distillery.

Purchase a ticket in advance for festive workshops including wreath-making, gingerbread house decorating, and whisky masterclasses before dancing the night away to Tassie-born acoustic guitarist and acclaimed singer-songwriter Cam Tapp.
