Christmas in Mistletoe Falls 2: The Christmasening Fri Dec 13 7pm
Event description
Mary Christmas, Dash Ingtrudasno, and the rest of the residents of Mistletoe Falls thought they had fixed the town. It had seemed to be the kind of place that only existed in one of those cheesy TV Christmas movies; a place where everyone loves the holidays, the girl always gets the guy, and there’s always a happy ending. It was nice, but not exactly “real.” Some magical help from Santa helped them keep the good stuff and get rid of the bad stuff and it seemed like they were all ready to live happily ever after.
But the lure of cheesy TV Christmas movies is strong and before they know it, things start to go back to old ways that they thought they had left behind, driven there, in part, by a dastardly version of Mrs. Claus!
As if that wasn’t bad enough, Mary wakes up the morning after hooking up with Dash to find herself suddenly nine months pregnant!
Now, Mary, Dash, and the rest of the townsfolk they have to once again work together to save Christmas!
Screenwriter Rick Garman has written more than a dozen holiday films for networks like Hallmark Channel and Great American Family, and now he’s bringing that Christmas magic to the stage with “Christmas in Mistletoe Falls,” a hilariously irreverent musical parody of exactly the kind of movies he makes.
Filled with live cabaret performances of holiday classics like “It’s Beginning to Look a Lot Like Christmas,” “Winter Wonderland,” “White Christmas,” “The Most Wonderful Time of the Year,” and many more, this is sure to be a holiday classic that will hopefully not get the guy who writes movies like this fired.
Shows are Friday, December 13 at 7pm; Saturday, December 14 at 3pm; and Sunday, December 15 at 3pm at Club One, 1 Jefferson St, Downtown Savannah. Tickets will be available in early November.
Please note… If you’re expecting a wholesome live version of a TV Christmas movie, this isn’t it. It’s an irreverent parody of television Christmas movies staged in a showroom at a nightclub and contains adult themes and language. Must be 21+ to attend.
The theater is located on the second floor of the historic Downtown Savannah Club One building (1 Jefferson St) which is only accessible by stairs. There is no elevator access. Songs are performed live to prerecorded tracks
