PROSPECT'S THE PLACE TO BE THIS DECEMBER!

We are absolutely thrilled to announce the launch of our 2024 Christmas in Prospect Community Fair! A huge thank you to the City of Prospect for their unwavering support. Their generosity allows us to continue spreading joy and fostering community pride throughout our little city each December. For the first time ever, we’re delighted to host this year’s Christmas Community Fair at the beautiful Blackfriars grassy school grounds along Prospect Road! 

We’ve got so much in store to make this a truly unforgettable day for our community. At our community Christmas in Prospect Fair, you can expect a festive atmosphere filled with a variety of activities and attractions.

Here’s what you'll find:

1. Christmas Gift Markets: Stalls and vendors selling unique gifts, handcrafted items, decorations, and holiday treats.
2. Festive Multicultural Food and Drinks: Food vans showcasing multicultural foods, tasting and take aways by SA's best Vintners, Brewers and Distilleries, condiments, sauces, and bakers treats!
3. Live Entertainment: Christmas carollers, live music by The Incredibles, DJ Sassy by Nature spinning House tunes and performances by our locals to get everyone into the holiday spirit.
4. Santa’s Magic Cave: A chance for children to witness Santa's spectacular arrival at 2pm accompanied by charity motorcyclists, meet Santa for free and share their Christmas wishes. And start a much loved tradition to have a family photo in Prospect in our Christmas cave!
5. Inaugural Show n Shine: A wonderful display of Vintage, Classic and Modern Cars by our locals sponsored by Brenton's Mechanical!
6. FREE Christmas Crafts: Hands-on activities where you can make your own decorations, ornaments, or holiday cards.
7. Kids Activities: Face painting, rainbow henna, free glitter freckles, free giant games, free art activities, soft play, mini golf and more!
8. Touch a Truck - Explore a Firetruck, Ambulance, Police car and a big Truck!
9. Light Displays: Beautiful Christmas lights and decorations that create a magical atmosphere.
10. Charity Stalls: Opportunities to support local charities through donations or by purchasing items that benefit good causes.
11. Community Activities: Local groups, schools, kindergartens, and small businesses showcasing their work, often featuring interactive displays and engaging activities for the families & community.

2.00PM- 3.00pm - Santa arrives in Vintage car, our Councillors and Special Guest open the event with a traditional Lions Dance

3.00PM-4.00PM - Carols and performances by our Community

4.00pm-6.00PM - The Incredibles Band

6.00PM-8.00PM - Dance your heart away to House tunes by DJ Sassy By Nature

8PM - MC's close the event

QUESTIONS:

Can I bring a chair or picnic blanket?

Yes, please feel free to bring something to sit on (either a chair or a picnic blanket) Some seats will be available through out the event.

What are my transport/parking options for getting to and from the event?

There will be onsite close parking available at this event for a fee of $10. As well as an area for you to securely lock up your bikes, motorbikes and scooters. Additional parking will be available around the perimeter of the school 

Can I bring my own alcohol?

Our event is licensed with no alcohol is allowed to be brought into the premises. Drinks can be purchased on site.

What should I bring to prepare for the BEST CHRISTMAS EVENT EVER?!

Bring chairs, or picnic rugs. A soft cooler bag with ice with reusable wine cups if you would like to purchase our wine onsite!

Sunscreen, a hat or a light wrap as the sun goes down.
