    Join me on a delightful journey into random weave as we create woven lanterns using random weave to create stunning tables pieces for the most fabulous of Christmas events - and beyond.                                                                                                                                                  No experience required for this delicious opportunity to pause and connect into your creative self and take home a beautiful sculptural piece made by your own hands. 

    You'll learn: 

    - how to use random weave to create stunning sculptural forms using Bangalow Palm inflorescences                                                                    - where and how to forage and prepare the pieces for weaving                                                                                                                           - how to preserve your work using natural fibres for prosperity 

    Included:-all materials - foraged and prepared bangalow palm inflorescences for weaving your organic vessel.

    I'm delighted to be collaborating with the fabulous team at Lil Piggy cafe in Mittagong who will provide a delicious morning tea platter upon arrival readying you for exploring the gentle art of weaving as you create your lantern(s).

    (And Lil Piggy is fully licensed so if you fancy that tipple as you weave, you are so welcome to purchase your own delight.)

    What to bring: 

    - a vase that you will weave around - I recommend glass - between 6cm and 30cm diameter - 20- 25cm is best.

    Who's Sarah Norton Creative?

    A multidisciplinary creator, Sarah Norton has been making and exhibiting for over thirty years. She is a painter, sculptor, drawer, photographer and potter. Sarah's art making focuses on the in-between spaces, the places where certainty is not on tap; the intersection of discovery and trust. 

    A fibre artist for over a decade, Sarah's love of working with natural fibres and learning how to 'listen' to the fibres, came from living in Tanzania for four years until 2008. When not in her studio and leading creative workshops, Sarah is a mentor, lecturer and communications facilitator.
