Event description

Church musicians make a huge impact on your Sunday service in establishing a welcoming atmosphere and supporting congregational worship. All singers, musicians and sound technicians can benefit from specific training and development so that they are growing in their knowledge, confidence and skills.

Grammy nominated musician Grant Norsworthy will be in Christchurch this October and is running a workshop to help train your worship team. You will find that his training makes a tangible difference to the worship experience of your whole church family. Grant's training is for the heart and the art of worshipping singers, instrumentalists and sound technicians.

This superb training opportunity is for all denominations, stylistic preferences and theological emphases. Grant is theologically sound, highly practical and seriously fun. Your musicians will love it and benefit enormously!

WHO IS THIS TRAINING FOR?: Worship leaders, singers, instrumentalists and sound technicians. All denominations, ages, proficiency levels and musical styles, from any congregation size are catered for.

DATE AND TIME: Tuesday 22 October - mingling from 6.30pm and training from 7pm - 9pm.

PLACE: All Saints' Anglican Church, 305 New Brighton Rd, Burwood.

COST: While there is no set charge for individuals to attend, all benefitting churches should make a financial contribution towards the cost of this event. The suggested donation of at least $20 per person can be made from the “Get tickets” link.

WHAT WILL YOU LEARN?:

  • Improved Musicality: Equip your team with reachable vocal, instrumental and technical methods that will help them craft a more inviting, engaging and musical sound.
  • Increased Participation: A sound that will more warmly invite your congregation to passionately and authentically worship God through songs.
  • Greater Unity: Let’s get the singers, instrumentalists, technicians, congregation and church leadership all on the same page with an agreed, measurable goal.
  • Inspiring Worship: Cultivate a deeper understanding and passion for (Romans 12:1) “living sacrifice” worship.

GRANT'S BIO

Grant Norsworthy achieved considerable success as a Nashville-based pro musician with Christian bands such as the Paul Colman Trio and Sonicflood. But the pro-muso rollercoaster was preparing Grant for a deeper calling. Since 2007, Grant has served the Christian Church globally as a speaker, musician and advocate for children living in extreme poverty. With an intriguing personal journey profoundly impacted by the Word of God, Grant is uniquely qualified as a compelling voice on a number of important topics to all sincere followers of Jesus.

As 'More Than Music Mentor', Grant offers training for the heart and the art of worshipping singers, instrumentalists and technicians. With significant experience in cross cultural missions, Grant maintains strong ministry partnerships with reputable global ministry organisations. An Aussie/US dual citizen, Grant has lived with his wife Brooke and their three sons in Upper Moutere in the Tasman District since late 2018.
