Meet our speakers
Michelle Ainsworth PSM is a former Press Gallery journalist and Editor of Politics at the ABC who used her 2023 Fellowship to research the global decline in trust in democracy and look at how news organisations could help slow this trend in Australia.
Driven to create products with greater efficiency, performance and user fit, 2024 Fellow David Barbalet recently travelled to the USA and Canada to expand ergonomic and engineering capabilities within his own practice. Having recently returned, David intends to share these skills and expand his practice to benefit a wider range of Australians who will have greater access to bespoke advanced adaptive equipment made locally to meet their needs.
